Spring and summer mark wedding season in Tulum. Here is a shot of one of our favorite wedding parties from northern California in Coba. The wet weather didn’t stop these guests from exploring all that Coba has to offer. After climbing Nohoch Mul pyramid we were off to the jungle to swim in Tamcach-ha, the best cenote in the area. One fearless guest showed the crowd his acrobatic skills doing backflips and 70 yr old Montino (father of the bride) wowed everyone with a pencil jump from the 30 foot platform!
As for our Sian Kaan tour to Muyil, guides Jeff and Cole had a blast floating down the ancient Mayan canal with the newlyweds from the Coba ruins tour and Dave and Bronwen visiting from San Francisco. After weeks of rain, these folks chose the perfect day to enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the biosphere with new friends and great conversation.
One of our most popular Akumal tours is to snorkel with sea turtles. Heather and Scott from Portland ventured out into Turtle Bay and not only saw beautiful sea turtles but a 5ft long barracuda lurking around the reef! They completed their snorkeling tour with a stop at Grand Cenote to explore the fresh water caves.
